Danielle Richardson Ceramic Sculpture

Danielle's work is inspired by wilderness and fantasy. Her favorite influences include artists such as H. R. Geiger, Andy Goldsworthy, and Isamu Noguchi.

“Every sculpture has a unique creative process for me. I love creating faces and creatures. I usually start out with a general artistic concept or idea, but I never know what the final outcome will be until the work has been completed. Each piece reveals itself to me with its own unique personality and form. For this reason no two pieces are ever alike. I am interested in developing unusual forms that spark curiosity and feeling in the viewer. I enjoy incorporating extra elements into my work such as plants, water, or fire. Things that grow, bubble forth, float in the air, or ignite help to evoke a feeling of mysterious aliveness.”
